When a premium resort becomes an unwanted commitment

Westin vacation ownership includes highly desirable destinations, but the quality of a resort and the suitability of a long-term timeshare contract are two different questions.

An owner can enjoy the resort itself and still decide that the ongoing ownership no longer makes financial or practical sense.

Some owners delay taking action because they have already spent a substantial amount on the timeshare. But continuing to pay annual charges for an ownership you no longer want does not recover what has already been spent.

The important question is what you want to happen from this point forward.
